Simon Cowell will join "America's Got Talent" on Season 11 and it could be just the first change coming for the NBC talent competition series.
Simon spoke to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Wednesday about his new spot at the judges' table.
"I kind of always wanted to be on it… I also enjoyed producing it," he told Billy. "When this opened up and they asked me, I went, 'A hundred percent, yeah.' Why wouldn't you?"
In addition to "AGT" stateside, Simon has judged on the British version of the talent competition series for 10 years along with the British "X Factor."
"It's all about finding stars," he said. "And I love doing that. I mean, it's the best part of my job."
But will the other stars at the "AGT" judges table – which also includes Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B – change beyond the addition of Simon?
"How will the panel look other than you? Maybe there are names that are equal or even bigger," Billy wondered.
"Could be," Simon teased. "It could be… I don't know what's gonna happen yet. I mean, they have done a good job… this is not like coming on a show that's doing badly. It does do really well… genuinely the other three have done an amazing job."
If there were to be a further change, Simon revealed to Billy that there are many interested parties.
"Without giving anything away… we do get a lot of incoming calls," he said. "People actually do like being on this show and that's the first criteria. It's gotta be somebody who wants to be on it."
Billy asked Simon if people are clamoring to see him reunite with original "American Idol" judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
"I would love to work with them again on something," Simon added.
"America's Got Talent" returns to NBC in summer 2016.
