Tobias Menzies Joins AMC’s ‘The Night Manager’

“Outlander’s” Tobias Menzies has joined the cast of AMC’s “The Night Manager.”

Menzies is one of several actors, including David Harewood (of “Homeland” fame), Neil Morrissey (“Men Behaving Badly”) and Katherine Kelly (“Mr. Selfridge), who AMC revealed are part of the mini-series.

“The Night Manager” is the first TV adaptation of John le Carre’s novel of the same name. The piece, a co-production between AMC and the BBC, stars “House” alum Hugh Laurie and “Avengers” star Tom Hiddleston.

“The Night Manager” will follow Hiddleston’s character, Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier who is “recruited by an intelligence operative named Burr to navigate the shadowy recesses of Whitehall and Washington where an unholy alliance operates between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade,” per AMC.

Laurie plays “lethal arms dealer” Richard Onslow Roper, and the Pine character has to become a criminal to infiltrate Roper’s organization.
