As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 27-year-old publicly discussed her father’s prognosis for the first time while accepting the Breakthrough Performer honor at August’s Industry Dance Awards.
“Last year, my boyfriend, Austin, lost his mom, Lori, to cancer, and my dad has just been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer,” Vanessa said at the time. “Let me tell you, I hate cancer. I hate cancer with every cell of my being.”
