5 Bodies Recovered From Luxury Yacht That Sank Off Sicily, 1 Passenger Remains Missing

Divers have recovered five bodies from inside a superyacht that sank due to a sudden storm off the coast of Sicily, according to new report by NBC News on Aug. 21. The outlet received confirmation from Salvatore Cocina, director of the island’s Civil Protection Agency, about four of the recovered bodies and Cocina later reportedly confirmed to Sky News that a fifth body had been found. Cocina did not identify whose bodies were discovered, and one other passenger is still missing. The luxury vessel had 22 people on board, including billionaire Mike Lynch, when it is believed to have capsized.
