‘KPop Demon Hunters’: EJAE & Mark Sonnenblick Feel Like They’re ‘Dreaming’ After Golden Globe Nom
EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick are still soaking in their Golden Globe nomination for Best Song! Access Hollywood chatted with the songwriters of “Golden” moments after they received their nomination, and they reacted to the big news. EJAE made history asthe first Korean American to be nominated for a Golden Globe for original song. While talking to Access she said she was “honored” and “super humbled” by the recognition before explaining the massive impact the animated feature has made. “It was interesting because when I was working with people, it was my first film, everyone was like, you know, to get to ‘Frozen’ level of success is like 1%, so I never thought that 1% would be possible but we just went beyond,” she said. “So, it feels like I’m dreaming right now, but at the same time it feels incredibly validating because literally everybody in every single category possible for this film worked their buts off,” she added. The two also weighed in on the sequel and EJAE reveals if she is team Rujinu. “KPop Demon Hunters” is streaming on Netflix now.
