American Airlines Plane Crash: The Figure Skaters Lost In the Tragic Flight

All eyes are on Washington, D.C. after a military black hawk helicopter carrying three soldiers collided with a passenger plane carrying 64 people on Jan. 29. It is the worst air disaster in nearly two decades and among the many lives lost were young members on board were Team USA’s figure skating program. Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan was inconsolable as she struggled to process the tragedy that rocked the figure skating community.
