Blake Lively Won’t Attend 2023 Met Gala: ‘I Will Be Watching’

The 2023 Met Gala will be missing one massive star this year, Blake Lively! On Thursday, the “Gossip Girl” alum told reporters she will not be attending the major fashion event while at the reopening celebration of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store in New York City. “I will be watching,” she said joking that she will wear her iconic 2022 Met Gala look “on my couch on Monday.” In 2022, the 35-year-old actress served as co-chair of the glamorous event alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds and she shut down the carpet wearing an extravagant bronzed Versace gown that was a nod to the Statue of Liberty.
