Brandy Returns To The Stage After Abruptly Leaving ‘Boy Is Mine’ Concert Due To Health Concerns
Brandy is back! The singer returned to the stage one day after an abrupt mid-concert exit during her and Monica’s “The Boy is Mine” tour. Brandy unexpectedly left the Chicago show on Oct. 19 before she and her fellow ’90s icon could perform their signature duet, and she took to Instagram the morning after the incident to explain her sudden departure and assure fans that she was on the mend. “Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and—most importantly—your prayers. I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance,” she wrote in part, also thanking her “sister” Monica and their crew for stepping up to execute the rest of the performance without her. The 46-year-old went on to note that she sought medical care to ensure that she’d be fully recovered in time for her and Monica’s next tour stop that night – a promise she kept. Brandy posted an Instagram peek at her and Monica’s onstage dance moves in Indianapolis and it seems the pair are having a total blast on the road together. They kicked off their tour Oct. 16 in Cincinnati and Monica gave fans a look at their backstage banter, including Brandy’s impression of Monica’s fierce stage persona.
