King Charles & Queen Camilla Take Kate Middleton & Prince William’s Place For Easter Tradition

King Charles and Queen Camilla celebrated Maundy Thursday in a place that holds special meaning for the royal family. The April 2 service marked only the second time event has taken place in Wales in its 800-year history. This was particularly special for the royal family, as King Charles bore the title of Prince of Wales for 64 years. The historic title is reserved for the male heir to the throne and passed to Prince William following Charles’s accession to the throne in September of 2022. William and Kate, who bears the title of Princess of Wales, also lived in the country as newlyweds.
