The beloved Emmy winner died of a pulmonary embolism, according to a death certificate issued by the Los Angeles County Health Department and obtained by People and TMZ on Feb. 9. The certificate also reportedly lists rectal cancer as an underlying cause and reveals she was cremated. Access Hollywood has reached out to the Los Angeles County Health Department for confirmation. The actress, who was best known for her comedic performances in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Best in Show” and the Christmas classic “Home Alone died Jan. 30 at age 71.
