Denise Richards Breaks Silence On Her Divorce From Aaron Phypers: ‘A Very Difficult Time’

Denise Richards is thanking fans for their support amid her divorce from Aaron Phypers, in her first public message since the split. The reality star gave an update on how she’s been these past months in a candid Instagram post on Aug. 21, more than a month after her estranged husband filed for divorce. “I was just checking in to see how your summer’s been going,” she began. “Mine’s been wonderful. It’s actually been s—–, but I’m going to pretend like it’s all good,” she said. The 54-year-old actress then goes out to thank her fans for the kind messages while she navigates her divorce. “I really just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your supportive, kind, thoughtful, encouraging messages because this has been a very difficult time,” she added. The video comes a month after she was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, alleging that he abused her and even threatened to kill her throughout their marriage. Access Hollywood reached out to Phypers for comment at the time. He filed for divorce on July 7, without an attorney. Per his filing he listed their date of separation as July 4 and also requested spousal support. He spoke out about Richards’ claims in a statement to US Weekly, saying the allegations are “not true. Conjured up. I have the real evidence.”
