Dramatic Video Shows Olympic Kite Surfer Bruno Lobo Saving Drowning Woman

Video captured the dramatic moments when an olympic kite surfer saved a woman who was drowning. Bruno Lobo, who competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics, shared the video of the Jan. 10 incident. In the caption, the Brazilian athlete explains in Portuguese that he was testing out new camera equipment on the water when he came across the drowning woman. “She was very tired and had no strength, I used the equipment to bring her to the sand safely,” the 31-year-old explains. In the video the woman, who appears to be unharmed, is seen hugging her rescuer in gratitude. After his social media account received many messages praising his actions, he wrote, “ I only did what needed to be done and what was within my power!”
