George Clooney Playfully Pouts Over Golden Globes Giving Julia Roberts Standing Ovation & Not Him

George Clooney is embracing second place! Or is he? The movie icon didn’t hold back the humor at the 2026 Golden Globes, taking the stage minutes after Julia Roberts commanded a standing ovation from the crowd – and he didn’t. Clooney and his fellow A-lister enjoyed a mini “Ocean’s 11” reunion at the Jan. 11 ceremony, with co-star Don Cheadle joining him to present Best Motion Picture – Drama and delivering a few playful zingers at George’s expense. Though Julia appeared surprised at first to get such an enthusiastic response from the crowd while announcing the winning Musical or Comedy film, she did lean in to the accolades and even jokingly encouraged her peers to get on their feet.
