Jake Reiner Gives 1st Interview After Parents Rob & Michele Reiner’s Murder, Brother Nick’s Arrest
Jake Reiner is opening up about the devastating loss of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, in his first sit-down interview after their murders. “It’s been 8 months. It feels like 8 years at the same time. And it also feels like 8 minutes. Because every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality,” Jake told KABC-TV’s Mark Cota-Robles. Rob and Michele were found slain in their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14 from multiple stab wounds. Their younger son, Nick, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection to their death. He has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody. Now, Jake is speaking with KABC-TV about his parents and how he’s navigated the last months, briefly breaking down the call from his sister, Romy, where she first alerted him about what happened. “Romy told me our dad was dead and then she said, ‘I can’t find mom,” he recalled. Jake previously explained in a Substack essay that he lost more than half of his family that December night and further clarified to KACB how Nick’s arrest has impacted him. “Yeah. I mean, he’s in jail, so…You know, it’s … I physically lost my parents. And then Nick was arrested. And now it’s me and Romy,” he said.
