Jennifer Lopez Playfully Calls Out Ben Affleck Question From ‘Today’s’ Craig Melvin: ‘There You Go’

Jennifer Lopez is playfully calling out Craig Melvin. The singer chatted with the “Today” anchor on Oct. 6 about her upcoming musical film “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” on which she collaborated with her ex-husband Ben Affleck. After JLo revealed that the musical numbers were shot in one take like older films of the same genre, Melvin brought up that it also took place as during her divorce proceedings, leading the singer to interrupt him. “In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” the 46-year-old said before Lopez cut him off. “There you go – look at this guy!” she said with a laugh and looked around the studio. However, the journalist went on to explain how the question was relevant to the interview, saying, “But then I read that your ex is an executive producer on the film.” The actress then acknowledged Affleck’s role in the production, replying, “He is. If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made. And I will always give him that credit. And you know things happen – you have to keep going.”
