Jessica Alba Criticizes Marvel Movies As Being ‘Quite Caucasian’ Despite Some Changes
Jessica Alba has some feedback for big movie studios. The 41-year-old actress graced the cover Glamour UK’s July/August issue and talked to the publication about diversity in the entertainment industry and the work that still has to be done. “Even if you look at the Marvel movies – that’s the biggest driver of fantasy and what’s happening right now in entertainment, because it’s sort of the family thing – it’s still quite Caucasian,” she said. Jessica played Sue Storm in the “Fantastic Four” Marvel movies in the 2005 and 2007. At the time she said diversity was almost non-existent in superhero movies. “I would say I was one of the few back in the day… And it was before Marvel was sold to Disney… but it’s still quite… more of the same.”
