Katy Perry Said She Hoped To Become ‘A Household Name’ In 2008 Interview
Katy Perry always brings the energy, and it’s been that way since her first time appearing on Access Hollywood 15 years ago! In 2008, Access met up with the then-rising pop star in New York City’s Steve Madden store. She spoke about her debut song “I Kissed A Girl” and shared her hopes for her career a decade from then. “I have a lot of respect for Madonna and hope to be kind of that– can I say household name?” she said at the time. “In ten years, I’d like to do so many different things. You know, be a good girl, be a bad girl, be rock ‘n’ roll, do an acoustic record.”
