Lionel Richie couldn’t sound more grateful for his “American Idol” family! The music icon told Access Hollywood after Sunday night’s finale why he thinks the bond with his fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan only gets stronger as the show goes on. “The universe put us together, honestly. What makes every season better and better is that we trust each other more and more,” Lionel said. “And we’ve gotten to the point now where we could actually blink and we’ll know what the other one’s thinking.” Lionel also raves over winner Iam Tongi and reflects on the 40th anniversary of his classic track “All Night Long.”
