Luigi Mangione Receives Largest Donation Yet From Anonymous Donor For Legal Defense In Fatal Shooting Case

Luigi Mangione, the man accused in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has received yet another donation for his legal defense fund and it is the largest yet. The anonymous donor deposited $30,000 to the fund on the site GiveSendGo. In a message accompanying the late February donation, the donor explains why they are giving to Mangione’s defense. “I never needed to worry about affording med care. But I am here bc, even among the affluent, it is clear that from the motion to dismiss Adams’ charges to perp walk, the case is likely politicized,” writes the anonymous donor. Mangione pleaded not guilty to murder and related terrorism charges stemming from the fatal shooting.
