Madonna Was In ‘Induced Coma For 48 Hours’ Amid Bacterial Infection: It’s A ‘Miracle’ I’m Here

Madonna is shedding more light on the health emergency she went through this past summer. The “Give Me All Your Luvin'” singer got candid about her hospitalization and recovery while onstage for her Celebration Tour in New York City this past weekend. “I had some strange bacterial infection in my blood, and I almost died,” she said, adding that she “was in an induced coma for 48 hours.” She went on to thank her friend Shavawn, who was the one who got her to the hospital. “I passed out on my bathroom floor. I woke up in the ICU … She saved my life,” Madonna shared.
