Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Wedding Choir Performs At Coronation Of King Charles

The same gospel choir that performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding sang at King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation. The Ascension Choir, a group of eight handpicked singers from the southeast England-based Christian gospel group Kingdom Choir, performed during the historic occasion at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday. The octet sang “Alleluia (O Sing Praises)” by British composer Debbie Wiseman, which marked the first-time gospel music was included in the coronation. The gospel singers’ inclusion was requested by King Charles, according to Wiseman. She told British Radio Station Classic FM, that he “very much wanted a gospel choir included in the service.” Prince Harry was in attendance for his father’s big day, but his wife stayed home in California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
