Prince Harry Near Tears Testifying That Wife Meghan Markle’s Life Was ‘Misery’ From Tabloids

Prince Harry gave an emotional testimony on his third day in London’s High Court during his latest legal battle. The younger son of King Charles is one of seven high-profile claimants in the case against the Associated Newspapers Limited, the publisher of the Daily Mail, who allege that the company used unlawful methods such as phone hacking to obtain information for headlines. Associated Newspapers vigorously denies the allegations, per the BBC. During his testimony on Wednesday, Jan. 21, the prince appeared on the verge of tears and stated how his wife, Meghan Markle, was affected by the tabloids, according to multiple reports. “They continue to come after me. They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery,” he reportedly said as his voiced cracked. Harry also claimed his life had been “commercialized” since he was young, per NBC News, adding, “The defense’s claim that I don’t have any right to privacy is disgusting.” Other notable claimants involved include Elizabeth Hurley, Elton John and Sadie Frost.
