Rob Reiner Talks About Son Nick Reiner’s Drug Addiction In Resurfaced 2016 Interview
Rob Reiner and son Nick Reiner’s dynamic was on full display in Access Hollywood’s exclusive 2016 interview. The pair stopped by our studios to promote their film, “Being Charlie,” a semi-autobiography partially inspired by Nick’s struggles with drug addiction, and discussed how much of the movie was based on real life. Nick also detailed his drug addiction, stints in and out of rehab and when he finally hit his breaking point. The late director and screenwriter also talked about how he supported his son at the time and what advice he would give to parents going through the same thing. This interview has been resurfaced amid Reiner and his wife’s, Michele Singer Reiner, deaths on Dec. 14. The couple was found at their Brentwood, Calif. home in what police identified as a homicide. Nick Reiner was later arrested and booked on suspicion of murder.
