Robert Redford, Oscar-Winning Director & Actor, Dead at 89

Hollywood icon Robert Redford has died at the age of 89. The Oscar-winning director and actor passed away on Sept. 16 at his home at Sundance surrounded by those he loved in the place that he loved, according to a statement to Access Hollywood from his publicist, Cindi Berger, who added that he will be missed greatly. Redford, known for his starring roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “All the President’s Men,” was also influential in American independent film as he was one of the founders of the Sundance Film Festival.
