Surfer Bethany Hamilton Pleads for Help & Prayers As Young Nephew Fights For His Life After Near Drowning

Professional Surfer Bethany Hamilton is pleading for help as her young nephew, Andrew, fights for his life after nearly drowning. In an Instagram post, the 34-year-old revealed the incident happened on Oct. 11, and that the boy “still has a heartbeat and has fight in him,” after being medevacked to a Hawaii medical center. “I know how proper medical support can make or break someone’s chance of survival and in this case we’re asking for help from anyone who has information of what we can do to give my nephew the best chance,” Hamilton urged her followers.
