Brett Goldstein Reveals Why He Stared At Jason Sudeikis During His Emmy Awards Speech

At the 2022 Emmy Awards, “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for the second year in a row. When Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans asked him if he made eye contact with anyone during his speech, he said he caught co-star and “Ted Lasso” co-creator Jason Sudeikis’ line of sight. “I looked straight at Jason, cause you know, I owe him my… existence – he’s my dad,” Brett joked. He added on a touching note, “I don’t take any of this for granted. It’s truly– I’m from Sutton. This is mad.” The actor also revealed his favorite thing he likes to hear from fans about the series.
