Chris Rock Expected To Address Will Smith Oscars Slap In Live Netflix Special ‘Selective Outrage’
It’s been nearly one year since Will Smith tearfully accepted his Academy Award for Best Actor, shortly after slapping Chris Rock onstage. Since then, he’s remained off the awards circuit, but he just returned to accept an AAFCA Award for his powerful performance in “Emancipation.” Meanwhile, Chris Rock is expected to address the slap extensively for the first time in his live Netflix special “Selective Outrage.” Last year, Chris didn’t address the incident at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston just days after the incident, and he’s only briefly alluded to it in other standup performances since last March. “Selective Outrage” streams live on Netflix on March 4 at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
