Diddy Says His Behavior In Resurfaced Cassie Video Is ‘Inexcusable’: ‘I’m Truly Sorry’
Diddy is breaking his silence following a viral video’s release appearing to depict him beating his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel. CNN was first to obtain the footage and reported that it was taken in 2016. On May 19, Sean “Diddy” Combs took to Instagram to address the video. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f—ed up — I mean, I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable,” he began. The rapper appeared to confirm the authenticity of the video as he continued, saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I had to go into going to therapy, and go into rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.” Combs finished the video statement by apologizing. “I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” he said.
