Drew Barrymore Exits Live Event After Man In Audience Rushes Stage & Says ‘I Need To See You’

Drew Barrymore is safe and sound after a frightening onstage incident. The actress and TV host joined Renee Rapp for a conversation at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on Aug. 21 when a man appeared to rush the stage insisting to speak with Drew. Social media video from the event’s livestream shows Drew and Renee being escorted away as security surrounded the man to block him from getting any closer. The women eventually returned to a roar of supportive cheers and resumed their discussion. Access Hollywood has reached out to reps for Drew and Renee for comment. The NYPD told Access there was no police report filed.
