Former Miss America Betty Maxwell Eliminated From ‘American Idol:’ It Was ‘So Emotional’
Former Miss America Betty Maxwell has been eliminated from “American Idol.” The 27-year-old did not advance to the top 24 contestants of the singing competition on Monday after failing to get through the showstopper round. After the episode aired, she went on Instagram Live to talk with fans and express how she was feeling after her elimination. Betty explained that the episode was filmed in December, and she had a really hard time keeping the outcome from her friends and family.
