Gypsy Rose Blanchard Posts ‘First Selfie Of Freedom’ Following Early Release From Prison

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is celebrating her freedom! Just one day after the 32-year-old was released early from prison, she took to her Instagram to post a mirror selfie in what appears to be a hotel room, smiling. “First selfie of freedom!” she captioned the post. Gypsy received many positive messages in the comment section of her post from followers, with comedian Heather McMahan writing, “She’s back, baby!!” Another follower wrote: “Yessss!!! You look so pretty & your hair is so healthy and long. hope you’re safe and having a lovely time. Go Gypsy!,” and “Welcome home Gypsy! We love you!” Gypsy Rose was serving a 10-year long prison sentence on a second-degree murder charge for the June 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She plotted to kill her mother after she abused her and forced her to fake illnesses. Gypsy Rose conspired at the time to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who stabbed Dee Dee in their Springfield, Miss. home.
