Kiefer Sutherland Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Ride-Share Driver, LAPD Claims
Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on Monday, Jan. 12, after he was accused of assaulting a ride-share driver, according to Los Angeles police. Access Hollywood obtained a statement from LAPD Officer Kevin Terzes which claimed that “the suspect, later identified as Kiefer Sutherland, entered a rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats toward the victim. Officers arrested Sutherland at the scene for Criminal Threats.” The statement also noted that police responded to the alleged incident around 12:15 a.m., adding that the victim “did not sustain any injuries requiring medical treatment at the scene.” Online records show that the “Designated Survivor” star was booked into jail after 4:00 a.m. on a felony charge with a $50,000 bail. He posted bond hours later at 11:30 a.m. and was released. Sutherland is due in court on Feb. 2. Access Hollywood has reached out to representatives for the actor for comment.
