Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Issa Rae And More Stars React To SAG-AFTRA Strike

Florence Pugh, Margot Robbie, Issa Rae and more stars are standing in solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA strike. On Thursday, the union announced it is going strike starting July 14, after it failed to reach a deal with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers, which represents several major studios. The move will effectively shut down Hollywood and it is the first time the union has gone on strike since 1980. SAG-AFTRA will now join screenwriters who have been picketing since May. Following the announcement, Issa Rae took to her Instagram Story to stand in solidarity with her guild. “Well, everything is f**ked,” she said. Her “Barbie” co-star Margot Robbie also showed her support for the strike while talking to Sky News at the film’s London premiere on Wednesday. “I’m very much in support of all the unions. I’m a part of SAG so I would absolutely stand by that.” The cast of “Oppenheimer” also showed their support for their union on Thursday by leaving the London premiere of the film early ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike announcement.
