Paul Reubens, who delighted and educated kids as Pee-wee Herman, has passed away from cancer at the age of 70. Access Hollywood looks back on the character he created both on TV and on the big screen. We also revisit our 2004 interview with Paul, where he shared how he tried to give kids more than just laughs. “I think that the education they got from watching the ‘Playhouse’ has helped them in life to succeed, so I take a great deal of pride and pleasure in that,” he said at the time.
