Ryan Seacrest Mourns Dad & ‘Best Friend’ Gary Seacrest After His Death At 81

Ryan Seacrest is mourning a devastating loss. The TV host’s beloved dad, Gary Seacrest, has passed away at age 81. Ryan revealed the sad news on his KISS FM radio show Oct. 31 and confirmed that he and other loved ones including his mom and sister were at Gary’s bedside in his final moments. Ryan had previously shared about Gary’s years-long cancer battle and called him his “best friend” in a social media post paying tribute to his memory. Ryan’s mom had been married to Gary for more than 50 years and they were both loving supporters of their famous son, appearing by Ryan’s side to celebrate his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005 and on his last day co-hosting “Live” with Kelly Ripa.
