Tim Wakefield’s Widow Stacy Wakefield Dies Less Than 5 Months After Late Red Sox Pitcher

The widow of late Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield has passed away just five months after her husband. Stacy Wakefield died on Feb. 28 at age 53 and the Red Sox announced the sad news in a press release on behalf of the Wakefield family, calling Stacy’s loss especially devastating in the wake of Tim’s death in October 2023. “We will remember Stacy as a strong, loving, thoughtful and kind person, who was as down-to-earth as they come. We feel so lucky to have had her in our lives, and we take comfort in the fact that she will be reunited with Tim, the love of her life,” the statement read in part.
