Titanic Submersible First Photos Of Wreckage Revealed One Week After Implosion

Debris from the Titan submersible has been brought to shore, one week after it imploded while on voyage to see the Titanic wreckage. The debris was found near the bow of the destroyed Titanic and was unloaded from the ship Horizon Artic at the Canadian Coast Guard pier in St. John’s Newfoundland on June 28. In the photos, crew members are seen lifting scraps of the vessel onto the port. Some of the remanence included the nose cone with its distinctive circular window. The Titan was destroyed in a “catastrophic implosion” during its June 18 trip to the depths of the ocean to explore the Titanic wreckage site. All five tourist on board were pronounced dead on June 22.
