Tom Hanks Spills Details On His & Close Friend Tim Allen’s Decades-Long Lunch Tradition

Tom Hanks is sharing the origin story of his and longtime pal Tim Allen’s tradition of getting lunch together! “We did it I think to survive the press barrage for ‘Toy Story 2,’ because we did every interview together for that,” he told Access Hollywood at the 2022 Governors Awards. “After a long day, we just looked to each other, and I said, ‘We should talk about other things.’ So, we started meeting for lunch periodically, and we talk about all of life as it goes. … We sit down, and then we pay the check about two hours and fifteen minutes later, and we have not stopped talking for a moment. If anybody was to see us, they’d say, ‘I think those two guys are falling in love, they’re talking so much together,'” he quipped.
