Val Chmerkovskiy & Xochitl Gomez Are ‘Really Happy’ Following ‘DWTS’ Win

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy are “Dancing with the Stars” champions! “It feels amazing,” Val told Access Hollywood. “It feels really nice, I’m so proud of ourselves. Just really happy right now,” Xochitl added. The win was extra special for Val who got second place last season. “I’ve exactly in that spot last year and my name wasn’t called so it was just really nice to hear Xochitl,” Val said. Xochitl also talked about her freestyle performance and revealed why it was so important to properly represent her Latin culture in the dance. Plus, the newly crowned champs revealed the special treat they are getting now that the competition show is over.
