Why Kim Novak Disapproves Of Sydney Sweeney Playing Her In Upcoming Movie: ‘Totally Wrong’

Kim Novak is not holding back. During a recent interview with “The Sunday Times,” Novak expressed her disapproval over Sydney Sweeney being cast as her in the upcoming film “Scandalous!,” which follows the 93-year-old’s relationship with Sammy Davis Jr., played by David Jonsson, in the 1950s. “I would never have approved,” Novak told the publication, adding that she thinks Sweeney, “sticks out so much above the waist.” Novak explained to the outlet that she was concerned the film, which is set to be Colman Domingo’s directorial debut, would focus on the sexual side of the pair’s relationship rather than how much they had in common, which she pointed out was what their attraction was based on. “There’s no way it wouldn’t be a sexual relationship because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time. She was totally wrong to play me,” Novak additionally said. Sweeney has not publicly commented on Novak’s statements as of publication.
