He was 31 years old. The two singers took to their respective Instagram accounts to share heartfelt tributes to their friend, reminiscing on their close bond and expressing how much they’ll miss him. Louis Tomlinson also shared a moving tribute on Instagram on Oct. 17. All four members of One Direction also spoke out in collective sorrow over the tragic loss, telling fans they are “completely devasted by the news of Liam’s passing” and indicated that deeper thoughts are to come.
