The Oscar winner appeared to clap back after ex-husband David Justice’s now-viral comments on the “All the Smoke” podcast that she didn’t “cook,” “clean” or “seem motherly” during their ’90s-era relationship. Halle has been dating musician Van Hunt since 2020 and celebrated her 59th birthday on Aug. 14 with an Instagram carousel showing her and her beau enjoying a tropical vacation. “Phew…! cooking, cleaning and mothering,” she captioned the post, which also included what looked like a sweet card from one of her kids. Halle’s response drew instant praise in the comment section as fans sent well wishes and applause. The A-lister is mom to daughter Nahla and son Maceo from previous marriages. She and the former MLB star were wed from 1993 to 1997, and in his podcast interview he noted that there was at least one thing he could have done differently while they were together.
