‘South Park’ Pulls Charlie Kirk Episode Rerun After Conservative Activist’s Shooting Death

Comedy Central reportedly pulled a “South Park” episode parodying Charlie Kirk after the conservative activist was fatally shot. The episode, titled “Got a Nut,” was originally released on Aug. 6 and was supposed to re-air on Sept. 10, but was taken off that night’s lineup following Kirk’s death, according to multiple published reports. However, the episode remains on the network’s subscription-based streaming platform Paramount+ as of the next morning. Season 27’s second episode had lead character Cartman imitate Kirk’s debate style on college campuses while also sporting his haircut and mannerisms. At one point, the show spotlights the “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters” ceremony, directly referencing the Turning Point USA co-founder. At the time of the episode’s release, Kirk appeared to embrace the satire, even telling Fox News’ Jesse Waters that he was “honored.”
