Mary J. Blige Gets Candid On How She Turned Lessons On Love Into ‘Real Love’ & ‘Strength Of A Woman’
Mary J. Blige’s songs “Real Love” and “Strength of a Woman” are the inspiration behind two Lifetime movies she produced for the network! Mary talked to Access Hollywood about the films and got candid about how the songs were inspired by her self-love journey and her experience with divorce. “You get to a point where you don’t want to die, but you don’t want to live like this anymore,” she said of her past mindset. “I came out of the divorce and wrote ‘Strength of a Woman.’ The lyrics in the song say everything. Once you find the love for yourself, you find that you’re a strong woman.” The film “Mary J. Blige’s Real Love” airs at 6/5c on June 17, followed by the premiere of “Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman” at 8/7c.
